RIYD: The Unicorns, Danielson, Faust, Gowns, Neko Case, The Books, Diamanda Galas, Animal Collective.

Andy Tisdall and Ammo Eisu: VOX, Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Cello, Freak n Spell, Keys, Drums, hearts, and lungs.

Hometown: San Francisco, CA.

Andy and Ammo first met and formed a band that shall remain nameless on Absolutely Kosher Records in the early 2000s. In 2009, they formed their power-duo-kickin-ass-and-taking-names ZOO (like the bestiality fetish).

In ZOO, they take all the sound-producing objects they can get their hands on, and make a sort of jambalaya, tinged with indie rock/folk/punk, looped rhythms, and emotional outbursts. They then wrap this in a kind of rice-paper wrapper, for delivery into dank bars and laptop speakers all over the parts of the world that have those things.
